Slings, load-handling devices, and lifting equipment must be inspected by a qualified professional at least once a year in accordance with the accident prevention regulations BGV D 8/BGR 500 (formerly VBG 8/9a).

For YOUR safety and so that YOU can provide proof of regular inspections, we offer our mobile inspection service.

We would be happy to provide you with a non-binding quote. Upon request, we can offer you a maintenance contract to ensure you don’t miss inspection appointments.

SCOPE OF TESTING:

• Inventory, recording, and numbering.
• Visual inspection: Determination of external defects.
• Dimensional inspection: Re-measurement of chain links, hooks, connecting bolts, etc.
• Crack testing: Examination of chain slings for cracks using an electromagnetic crack testing device.
• Load testing: Loading of lifting equipment with up to 50% overload on the test bench.
• Repair: Replacement of defective parts.
• Certificate: Issuance of a test certificate as proof of regular inspections.

CONTRACT TESTING OF LASHING STRAPS, WEBBING SLINGS, AND ROUND SLINGS

• Maximum test length: 3 m
• Maximum test force: 50 t
• Testing on a Class 1 testing machine
• Tests are conducted according to:
• Lashing straps → EN 12195-2
• Webbing slings → EN 1492-2
• Webbing slings → EN 1492-1

The following are required to test one type according to the standard:

• Lashing straps → 2 samples
• Webbing slings → 3 samples
• Round slings → 3 samples
• The test fee includes the preparation of a report.

One test involves testing one test specimen six times.

Testing of lashing straps according to the standard includes the following tests:

• 2 x breaking force
• 2 x elongation
• 2 x deformation test
• 1 x pre-tensioning capacity
• 1 x strength test of the ratchet (especially the handle)

Testing of a lifting strap or round sling according to the standard includes the following tests:

• 3 x breaking force.
